Now through August 18th, gather marshmallows, complete daily quests (with Remy, Ursula, or Goofy), and cook up some sweet treats to share during the Summer Sizzle Event! This year, there are new crafting recipes, including a dock-building kit and Decorative Picnic Basket!

Before you start, make sure you have the Plaza, Peaceful Meadow, and Dazzle Beach unlocked, as well as Goofy, Remy, and Ursula. Then, gather up some Pink Marshmallows and Blue Marshmallows, only available during the event. Pink and Blue Marshmallow Bushes can be found in the Plaza or Peaceful Meadow. I recommend moving them all to one location for easier gathering. Additionally, hanging out with a Villager with the Foraging Bonus may grant extra marshmallows. Combine that with a squirrel that may also grant a bonus, and you’ll have loads of marshmallows quickly. Some Villagers have found Blue Marshmallows scattered about their Valley, but I haven’t found any yet–the last one I saw was a couple of months ago from last year’s Summer Sizzle. If they are scattered about, they may be under buildings and decor you have placed throughout your Valley.

Pink Marshmallows: Can be found on any of the three Pink Marshmallow Bushes and can be collected up to 4 times every 30 minutes.
Blue Marshmallows: Can be found on any of the three Blue Marshmallow Bushes and can be collected up to 4 times every 30 minutes.

The Lake Dock sounds like the perfect addition to summery DreamSnaps and will add some character to water…plus, it lights up! Unfortunately, it looks like the dock is just for show because you cannot walk on it– at least not for now. From those who have already unlocked it, items can be placed on the dock, which is nice. If you haven’t unlocked it yet, don’t worry. The recipes will unlock as you complete the dailies. The docks will take marshmallows and wood to craft, but I couldn’t find the recipes online.

S’mores remind me of summer nights when we would go camping by the beach. They are fun to make and use as decor for camping-themed builds, and I often use them to decorate the tables for DreamSnaps. Cooking them requires: 1 Pink Marshmallows, 1 Blue Marshmallow, and 2 Wheat. Looking to roast some marshmallows? They will take 2 Pink Marshmallows and 2 Blue Marshmallows.

If you are in need of materials, I will be opening up Farmer’s Market (Valley) this weekend and will have some extra marshmallows in case you need any. Please remember that only three visiting Villagers can be in the Valley at one time.
