Hatching-tide (エッグハント = Egg Hunt) is back from now until April 6th this year. Complete a short questline to unlock the Sprig Cleaning instance. Use a special scythe to clear out as many lots as you can in 3 minutes. The reward for completing the event is Special Brilliant Egg, a stackable item that you exchange for this year’s rewards. *You must be at least Level 15 to participate.
**UPDATE: Redemption for the three decor items is temporarily paused. * Redemption ability is back as of 03/23.
There are three housing decor items and one toy plus its achievement “Craft Your World” (Feat of Strength), with the collab between World of Warcraft© and Pinterest. The rewards are: Pin-O-Matic Camera toy and the following housing decor: Bluebird’s Golden Cage, Backboard and Hoop Playset, and Preserved Gift of Gilneas. It’s important to note that there are two different processes. One is to get the achievement and toy, and the other is for the three decor items. For weeks the option to connect the two accounts, specifically to get the achievement and toy, was disabled as there was an issue when players went to connect their Pinterest account. Upon connecting the Pinterest account to WoW, players found their Pinterest accounts banned. They have since fixed this, so you shouldn’t have a problem if you wish to get the achievement and toy.
In about two and a half weeks the Valley will be host to Eggstravaganza! From April 1-21, eggs will appear in your Valley and Realms, plus there is a new green egg to fish up! WALL-E will have daily and weekly quests that you can complete for event materials. If this is your first Eggstravaganza, I recommend setting a large chest or two aside to store the event eggs. And, don’t miss a spawn with the Ancient Vacuum (you’ll need a Level 3 vacuum to pick up the eggs), that is available to craft with the A Rift in Time expansion.
Continue ReadingSpring has arrived in Disney Dreamlight Valley! From March 11-17, there is the Lucky You! event, where you will find three-leaf (and one four-leaf) clovers throughout your Valley. Gather them to craft decorative items, and get the Lucky Shirt for completing the Lucky You! achievement. There are two new lucky-themed items to craft: Luck Clover Archway and Lucky Shamrock Banner. Then, from April 1-21, put on your bunny ears and get ready for an egg hunt because Eggstravaganza will be back, but more on that when it starts. If you don’t want to miss out on collecting the clovers (and eggs when that event is up), I highly recommend getting the A Rift in Time expansion and crafting Ancient Vacuums. Please note that you’ll need a Level 3 vacuum to pick up the clovers.

This is a few days late, but to celebrate Pluto’s arrival in The Valley, redeem PAWSOMEPLUTO26 for this adorable frame! You do not need Pluto to unlock the frame. Redeem the code by running the game: Settings > Help > Redemption Code. Type in PAWSOMEPLUTO26 (in ALL CAPS) and hit Claim. The frame is going to add a bit of fun to your DreamSnaps, especially to any that are pet-centric.
Week two of my healing journey. This is, by far, the most trying week because we had to make the difficult decision to say goodbye to our furbaby, Anzu. Grief and healing are a tiring pair, but I haven’t been too focused on myself because Anzu needs us. We don’t want to be without her, but it is not fair that she spends her final days suffering. We want to thank Dr. Charlie of La Fin Veterinary for giving Anzu the most beautiful farewell. *TW: This post discusses pet loss and at-home euthanasia*

Continue ReadingWelcome to September! Pumpkin everything has been out since August, which lets you know fall is almost here. As summer comes to an end, leaves are beginning to slowly change color, the air is starting to cool (albeit slightly), and stores are packed with Halloween and autumnal offerings. September is my cue to put out decorations and ring in Spooky Season. HHN and similar events are in full swing. Unfortunately, we won’t be attending any of them this year. This fall is going to be a little bit different.
