Brewfest is on! I meant to post about it when it started. From now until 10/06/2020, head on over to the area just outside Ironforge (Alliance) or Orgrimmar (Horde) to participate in fun games, try your hand at ram racing (daily), defeat Coren Direbrew (daily), and chow down at the eating contest! Win the eating contest 5 times, and trade in your trophies for the Brewfest Chowdown Trophy. Wowhead has a comprehensive guide to Brewfest that you can view here.

This year I wanted to get the toys that I don’t have, so I did. I logged on each toon to get the tokens for each of the toys. Since that is complete, all I need to do is collect enough tokens for the garb. A note about Brewfest tokens. They are soulbound, which means that you will not be able to mail them to an alt. That’s why I logged in on all of my toons. You can also log in on each one to do the dailies. The last achievement I need is Disturbing the Peace, which requires you to wear three pieces of Brewfest clothing, get smashed, and dance in Dalaran. Right now, with the xp buff, you can obtain close to a level (if not a level) just by doing the quests for Brewfest.

What else? Don’t forget to try all of the various food and brews available at Brewfest. When you get really smashed, your screen will go blurry, and you will lose a lot of control when walking/riding a mount. A similar effect will happen when you wear the Synthebrew Goggles to complete the Wolpertinger and Pink Elekk quests. The Pink Elekks are akin to the pink elephants on parade after Dumbo and Timothy accidentally have a bit too much to drink…hic!

What else is there? Oh, completely unrelated is the delay in the release date for Shadowlands! I previously mentioned that Shadowlands would be coming out at the end of the month, since that was what was originally told to us. In a more recent statement, Blizzard stated that the expansion’s release date will be later this year, and the pre-patch will be coming to players on October 13th. If you are in the process of leveling and getting that bonus rep, use your time wisely since it is rumored that the buffs will be disappearing soon. While I was initially upset by the delay, after reading more about it, I’m glad that they are taking player feedback seriously. All we can hope for is that changes are actually made, and that the players will benefit from the extra time that being provided. Only time will tell. Here is the official post from Blizzard:

What are looking forward to when we can finally step into the Shadowlands? Since it is now October, the future holds loads of fun-filled recipes, a Hallow’s End spread, and more.
Peace & Love, always!
