Welcome to September! Pumpkin everything has been out since August, which lets you know fall is almost here. As summer comes to an end, leaves are beginning to slowly change color, the air is starting to cool (albeit slightly), and stores are packed with Halloween and autumnal offerings. September is my cue to put out decorations and ring in Spooky Season. HHN and similar events are in full swing. Unfortunately, we won’t be attending any of them this year. This fall is going to be a little bit different.

Happy Blogmas: Darphynia’s Holiday Gift Guide 2024
Welcome to another Blogmas! I’m a little bit behind, so I’ll do my best to catch up this weekend. Christmas is fast approaching. It’s that time of year when shelves are lined with themed decor, kitchenware, etc., and stores are filled with people shopping for everyone on their holiday list(s). It seems that with each passing year, there are more and more goods to choose from, which can be overwhelming. Personally, I love giving and receiving practical gifts because they are long-lasting and often budget-friendly. There is something for everyone, whether homemade or not. The reality is that it’s truly the thought that counts. Even a card, which many would think “isn’t enough,” is special and appreciated. Here are some of my top picks for gifting this holiday season. *This post contains affiliate and referral links.

There are a few days until Halloween, and fall is in full swing! Not only is fall my favorite season, but it is also home to my favorite holiday. I find the rich fall colors, and being able to cozy up in a warm sweater with some hot apple cider, satisfyingly comforting. Decorations comprised of jack-o-lanterns, spiders, cobwebs, and black cats set the stage for another spooky season. Creature Features are plentiful and help put me in the Halloween spirit. This year, I went to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood for the first time. Just a side note: Everything here is my own opinion and not affiliated with the event or anyone connected to it.
Continue Reading*LIVE* WoW Charity Pet Program 2021

THE TIME HAS COME! The World of Warcraft Charity Pet Program for 2021 is now live! Support Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF)’s MSF COVID-19 Crisis Relief Fund. Donations not only go directly to support Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), but also help to donate the pet(s) to the WoW community. If the $500,000 mark is met, players will be rewarded with Bananas. Bananas, the son of King Mukla, was previously only available if you obtained the very rare loot card from the WoW Trading Card Game. If the $1,000,000 stretch goal is met, then players will also receive Daisy the (adorable) sloth. When /beckoned, Daisy will hitch a ride on your back! Any donation helps, and you can customize the amount. You may also stream to fundraise. In the event that you can’t stream nor donate, and the goal(s) is/are met, you will still receive the pet(s) as long as you have World of Warcraft. Only donations made from now through April 26, 2021(11:59pm EST) will count towards the goals.

Feast of Winter Veil has officially arrived in WoW. From 12/16/2020-01/02/2020, take part in festivities, decorate your garrison, dress up, and indulge in Winter Veil’s finest treats. This year I’m incredibly excited because Pepe’s Greatfather Winter costume is available! Now, when you summon him, he could be dressed up as Greatfather Winter, complete with a miniature mustache/beard and present. If you would like more in-depth information, check out Wowhead’s guide here.

There is a new battle pet for all of you collectors out there: Glimr. Glimr is reminiscent of the new Funko Pop that you can check out here. When the announcement was released that a new battle pet was found, one of my guildies and I went to Northrend to start the quest chain. Before you get started, this week is Darkmoon Faire, so head over to get the buff. You won’t need it, but it doesn’t hurt to have it. You will also want some gold because you will fatigue and die…unless you’re lucky and don’t. I died twice. You may also want a water mount since the majority of the quests will have you, not only fatigue, but place you deep in the icy waters of Northrend. Another item that is optional, but can come in handy, is having an extra under water breathing elixir. You are given three Elixir of Water Breathing after exchanging a scale with King Mrgl-Mrgl. If you have the Underlight Angler with Underlight Blessing, you can equip to be able to breathe under water. This only comes in handy for non-combat travel.
Continue ReadingHalloween + Shadowlands NEW Launch Date 🎃

In case you missed it, Blizzard has announced a new date for the release of Shadowlands: 11/23/2020. This comes after they pulled the original date, set for October 23rd, in favor of (hopefully) providing a better experience. I’m really excited to see what new pets, toys, and mounts will be available and how everything in the World (… of Warcraft) falls into place. You can view the story trailer here. Will you be joining us in the Shadowlands?
Continue ReadingBrewfest + Shadowlands Delayed!

Brewfest is on! I meant to post about it when it started. From now until 10/06/2020, head on over to the area just outside Ironforge (Alliance) or Orgrimmar (Horde) to participate in fun games, try your hand at ram racing (daily), defeat Coren Direbrew (daily), and chow down at the eating contest! Win the eating contest 5 times, and trade in your trophies for the Brewfest Chowdown Trophy. Wowhead has a comprehensive guide to Brewfest that you can view here.
Continue ReadingJenafur Found!

Today, in the Secret Finder discord, Jenafur was found. After nearly a year of searching, Amara can finally be reunited with her cat. Best of all, you get to keep her as your very own battle pet! Once you talk to Amara, head over to Return to Karazhan. Here is the guide on Wowhead. I recommend killing all mobs first, then running back to the banquet hall to get the food items. You don’t have to kill Moroes unless you trigger him. You do have to complete the opera house boss fight. I used the Wowhead guide for the food gathering and placement. Here are the steps I took to obtain Jenafur:
Continue ReadingShadowlands Official Release Date Trailer!
Since the Shadowlands preview at BlizzCon 2019, as they have been attempting to save Azeroth, players have been eagerly awaiting release date information. From level squishes to new covenants, much awaits us in the Shadowlands. As Sylvanas seized the Helm of Domination from Bolvar, many of us figured she would simply don a new look. Oh no. We were silly to think that, especially given how she has been acting. Instead, the Banshee Queen broke the helm, splintering the gateway between life and death.
