🍂The End and The Beginning❄️

The first week of December has already passed! As you can see, this post should have gone up on the 2nd, but I forgot to schedule it. It was one of those weeks. Since the last part of No-Spend November ended at the beginning of last week, this is going to be very short. We bought $100 of gifts and still have three people left, which will be easy since we’re giving gift cards and baked goods. I’d say that I love the cooler weather, but it’s going to be in the mid-70s to low-80s this week. Although, truth be told, if I had to choose I’d rather have the warmer weather than freezing cold, stormy weather. Back to the end of No-Spend November. Food aside, we spent around $200 on items that were not necessary, most of which were holiday gifts.

No-Spend November & an Update

It’s hard to believe that we are nearly in December. Since we are still staying in, and we don’t buy much online these days, our purchases went to gas, medication, and food. I work from home, which is nice because there is no commuting. We’ve only had to get gas maybe every 1-2 months. We bought pet food and food for us. The total was roughly $300 and includes cat food for two months and our food that lasts at least a month. The goal is to do a month of shopping in one go so we’re not needing to go out nor have food delivered. Plus, with the rise in food costs, we’d rather stock up now than later.

🚫 No-Spend November 💵

I hope you all had a fun, safe Hall🎃ween. Hard to believe it’s only two months until the new year. November marks the beginning of the challenge the buy nothing but the essentials. It can be difficult, but when you take inventory of what you have it makes it easier. I like to create a list, nothing overly detailed, of what I have. No-Spend November, or No-Buy November, isn’t for everyone. And, if you choose to participate, you don’t have to go extreme. It can be difficult, especially with the holidays so close. That being said, you can also focus on providing meaningful gifts that happen to be economical.

Stuck in a Rut

This post is going to be a very quick read. Lately I’ve felt stuck in a creative rut. I don’t know if it’s from being overly tired, general life, or what. Daily life has been pretty hectic the past few months, and it has made it difficult to concentrate. Perhaps another reason is that ideas are constantly being shot down, and there is always an excuse. Should it be bothersome? No. And to be honest, I could probably brush it off if it wasn’t happening often. Anyway, I have a few ideas in mind for future content that, with any luck, can be executed in the next month or two.

🍂 October 🍁

I can’t believe we’re a week into October! Even though I don’t mind time passing steadily by, but I hope October goes by a bit slower. Perhaps it’s the rich colors and crisp air that make this time of year so special. Most months it feels like summer. Right now, it’s in the high 60°s, which is freezing for me, but also means I can bring out the thicker, oversized sweaters. The plan for the evening is to bundle up with some tea and either watch some Halloween-themed flicks or game…or both… I should sleep, but that’s unfortunately not happening.

September’s End

As the month draws to a close, I can’t help but think about how fast the year is going. It seems like only yesterday we were gearing up for summer weather. Okay, that hasn’t changed (the weather is predicted to be in the 80s-90s for the next week), but the seasons have. Summer has transitioned to autumn paving the way for chilly nights and cozy fires.

Quick Health Update 😷

For the better part of two weeks I’ve been battling an awful cold. It started out as nothing to be concerned about. Just as things seemed to subside, this monster reared its ugly head. I’m still congested, but have about 90% of my voice back, so that’s something. Yes, I took a COVID test. Very grateful that it came back negative. The recommended medication isn’t working, and I left a message with my GP. We’ll see what they say. In the meantime, I’m trying to get content scheduled, which is difficult in my current state. However; deadlines and content don’t care if you’re sick. That’s all for now. Thank you for taking the time to read this little update. Hope you all have a wonderful day! It’s officially fall, and it’s hard to believe we’re almost in October. Coming up– fall drinks, food, and hopefully something new in terms of content type.

Peace & Love, always!

Pumpkin Spice & Everything Nice 🥧

Pumpkin spice. You either love it or hate it. Is it everywhere? Yes. And, to be honest, I’d much prefer apple pice, but “it is what it is”. My favorite PS anything is when it flavors an earthy masala chai. Not that masala chai isn’t amazing on its own. The added spice blend just feels like fall. The title of the post isn’t all that this is about. If you’re interested to see the goings on since my last post, read on.
