Blogmas: Day 4, Catmas

We have two beautiful girls. Now that they are used to each other, we see how our youngest keeps our older cat young. She is more playful, and even though they’d never admit it, they love each other. Every year we get our girls something. Last year we got them tents. Well, it started out as one for the baby, but our oldest cat took it over. We got a second tent, and (you guessed it) the eldest took that one over as well. This year we opted to go the food route for their gifts. PetSmart had a BOGO sale on their favorite treats, so we picked up two tubs– one for each kitty. What will you get your fur baby this season?

Blogmas: Days 1 through 3

This month, I will be trying my best to post something every day during the month of December. Since I’ve been sick, and still am a bit, what should have been posts for the last 3 days are being rolled into one. I’m hoping to get out a Winter Veil feast since the one for Pilgrim’s Bounty didn’t quite work out. A couple of weeks ago I received the winter FabFitFun box. FabFitFun is the only subscription box I have, and seeing how things are headed, I may soon unsubscribe. If you’re interested, though, here is the link and promo code: Click here & enter code WINTERFUN at checkout. By clicking the link provided, I get $8 per subscription (not per box). Since being an affiliate, I’ve only made $8. The program is, by no means, a “gravy train”.

The title also happens to be the name of our shop, which I mentioned in the last update post. Part of why I’ve been a bit behind here is because we have been working on a few large custom orders. If you’d like, you can check out our stock here. Right now we are working on re-branding, so most of our current stock is on sale. We will be focusing on fan-art and custom stencils, decals, stickers, and shirts. Additionally, hand-etched glassware, hand-painted magnets & totes, and other such wares will be up shortly. Side note: Our lead time for custom orders, depending on the order size and artwork, is at least 2 weeks. Holiday gift sets will be available starting Monday! At the moment we are working on some holiday-specific products. Currently, all glassware purchases will include a stainless steel reusable straw, while supplies last. If you have any questions, send us an e-mail: goblingearworks@gmail.com. You can also “like” us on Facebook for discounts, product launches, and more. Happy shopping!

Time has Passed

So, more time has gone by than I originally thought. Loads of things have been going on, and the last post was back in September! My fiancé and I have shop where we make custom, fan-art hand-etched glassware, hand-painted magnets, wishing bottles, decals/stencils, etc. More on the shop later…We had a large order in October, which took up time, as has my dissertation and getting a channel up and running. The plan for the channel is to have a little bit of everything: Life, mount runs, events, tastings, etc. A giveaway is in the near future, once the dust settles a bit. I think that’s about it for now. I hope you all had a fun Halloween. This month will be the month of food from the World of Warcraft Cookbook. If I can get my hands on the Overwatch version, I’ll have recipes from that as well…and maybe a mash-up. Have a fantastic Friday!

Peace & Love, always.

Get to Know Me

Here are some questions so you can get to know me. Have a question? Let me know!

What do you hope your last words will be?

I hope my last words are something funny, witty, or profound.  Knowing my luck, I’ll either say something stupid or won’t have any last words.

What kind of art do you enjoy most?

I love and appreciate nearly all art, but abstract art is my favorite.

Tips: Colonoscopy Prep

So, I had my first (and hopefully last, at least for a few years) colonoscopy. My fiancé had one a few months ago, so we learned some things along the way. Here are some tips to help save your behind (because it will hurt like never before) in case you ever need to go in. First, a disclaimer: *This is not meant to diagnose, treat, etc. any medical condition, nor is it meant to be medical advice. Please consult your physician if you have any questions/concerns, and always follow the instructions in place by your physician (see more at the end of this post). This was my own experience, and the tips are what helped me get through the night. Just because I experienced things doesn’t necessarily mean you will. That being said, it’s all about being prepared in advance:

Prepping for Friday

Today I woke up with some seriously bad heartburn. They’ve added a medication to my (seemingly) ever-growing list, and it was helping. Today is a different story. It’s not what I ate or drank…maybe it’s stress. Who knows? What I do know is that at this time Friday, I will be napping. I’m having a combination endoscopy/colonoscopy, since I’d rather have them check my body than continue on like this. Without going into too much detail, I’ve been having a number of issues, and they want to check to make sure things are in “working order”. If you’ve been following me for awhile, you know that things haven’t been the greatest health-wise. Specialists and my GP can’t figure out why. Symptoms started suddenly and don’t seem to be interlinked. You can read a little bit about that here.

Ads: A Little Note

So you may have noticed that there are quite a few ads on here. I think, for transparency’s sake, I should let you know that they are NOT monetized (…well, not to my benefit). In fact, they aren’t even something I’ve placed. Not sure how long this has been going on, but WordPress has decided to place ads throughout pages unless the author(s) pay to have them removed. They say the ads allow for them to keep free things free. If you’re curious, you can read more about placed ads here and pricing here.

Peace & Love, always!
