Hello! Did you have a nice holiday season? We hope so. It really seemed to fly by this year. As you can see, my idea for posting once a day during December didn’t quite happen. The month was more hectic than we thought it would be. We have a lot planned for 2025, and when we can, we can’t wait to share those plans with all of you. If you’re celebrating NYE, have fun and be safe! See you in 2025!

An October Update in November 🎃
I had intended to post this on Friday the 13th, but I forgot to set the date, so here we are. If you celebrate it, I hope you all had a safe and fun Halloween.

My birthday officially starts tomorrow, but I started celebrating early by going out for some of the things companies offer. My fiancée joined me, which was nice. If you were curious, I’m not like the sustainable people who say “No” to freebies. Quite conversely, I love when free things are offered, especially since I’m on a limited income. It’s a nice thing that companies do, which often leads to people making a purchase if it’s not a requirement. In a way, it’s a win-win. I have discussed my love of free offerings in previous posts. Even though I try to limit how personal my blog is, I pride myself on transparency.

Plastic-Free July 2022: Weeks 3-4
Weeks three and four were uneventful. I’m still not feeling great and decided to update my GP. We have a telemed call next week.
*As you can see, this post is a couple of weeks late. Things were a bit hectic, and I wasn’t feeling well. That being said, I hope you enjoy this short read.

The Sponsored Content section you see at the bottom, between the end of the end of a post and the comment box, is not anything that I benefit from. According to the site, WordPress does.
Celebrating My Birthday Month

Today is the first day of May, and this week we are looking at mostly clear skies with weather ranging from the mid-70s to high-80s. I spent much of the day with the cats while horror stories played in the background. We did a little gardening, and by that, I mean that we watered the tomato and radish plants. Since it is almost a new day, I’ll make the rest of the post brief.

It’s that time of year again. In a few days I’ll be marking another “trip around the sun”. As I get older the time goes by faster. There is an adage that goes, “Youth is wasted on the young” and it’s true. There is so much I hope to be able to do in this life. For me, birthdays are a reminder of what I want to accomplish while I’m able to. They are also a reminder of my own mortality. It probably sounds morbid, but it doesn’t have to be and isn’t in my case.

Last Friday was the day devoted to supporting environmental protection. Whether you participated in a beach clean-up or tried out more sustainable lifestyle adjustments, every little action adds up in the end. Making this planet a better place, and helping it heal, takes more than just the actions of individuals. Corporations, manufactures, etc. have to be held accountable and do their part too. This year I opted to take a different approach and decided to make a decision that could make an impact long-term.
