It has been awhile since I did one of these. If you want to know some random, and not-so-random, things about me, read on.
- Among other problems, I have nerve issues stemming from a herniated disc. The discectomy worked like a charm, but there are still irreversible issues. My left arm is hypersensitive to anything touching it (especially wind/the cold). You’ll pretty much always see me in long sleeves/sweaters.
- I’m a completist at heart, and since we have very limited space, it has forced me to change. I have to keep telling myself that it’s okay to not have complete collections.
- Yes, I really do have a PhD. I worked my butt off for it, and finally reached my academic goal. If you’re wanting to learn more about that journey, click here.
- I prefer tea to coffee and like to pair it with a slice or two of toasted English muffin bread from Trader Joe’s.
- I love to cook. Think of a recipe I will try to create it, or re-create it, if it comes from yoru favorite restaurant. Hint at future content, perhaps?
- A goal of mine is to own an Art Deco style house built in the 1920s-1930s. Will it happen? Probably not, but a girl can dream.
- Yes, I’m still low-waste. The pandemic has made it nearly impossible to get anything unpackaged. That being said, I’ve noticed that zero-waste culture tends to put much of the blame, etc. on the consumer. Companies need to do better. Part of me wishes we could go back to some of the old ways of reusing and recycling while incorporating advancements we’ve made regarding pollution.
- While I’m on the subject, zero-waste is not a new concept. Humans lived much less wastefully until about 100 years ago. I’ll find articles and update this post when I can.
- There are loads of thoughts in my brain right now. Yes, I will get to discussing the Blizzard problems, even though it’ll be a bit late to the party.
- Yes, I also play FFXIV. I’m thinking about doing a small giveaway for the first person to find me on Halloween. More to come.
- My favorite chips are a brand called Old Dutch. They’re nearly impossible to get here, unless it’s online, and then it costs a fortune.
Hopefully this was a bit entertaining. As much of an open book as my life is, there are things that people don’t need to know, and probably won’t be mentioned. That being said, if you have a question, ask!
Peace & Love, always!
