Pumpkin spice. You either love it or hate it. Is it everywhere? Yes. And, to be honest, I’d much prefer apple pice, but “it is what it is”. My favorite PS anything is when it flavors an earthy masala chai. Not that masala chai isn’t amazing on its own. The added spice blend just feels like fall. The title of the post isn’t all that this is about. If you’re interested to see the goings on since my last post, read on.

Today I went to my local farmer’s market for some bread. Turned out they weren’t there, but I did get some amazing kefir and produce. Because produce is much more pricey, I set a $20 limit. I got some pichu berries, blackberries, ginger (with the stem on), purple string beans, and assorted squash. My plan for dinner is to make a garlic chicken with squash and potatoes. We’ll see how it pans out. Lilian Gish once said, “You’ve got to take care of this house. You don’t get another house,” while signaling her body. She was right. In my spare time, which is very limited, I’ve been trying out FFXIV. Admittedly, I bought the leveling pack—forget what it’s called, since I’m mainly in The Gold Saucer or fishing. My goals are to max out fishing (and other skills) and get the cactus mount 🌵.

Since my schedule keeps me busy, I haven’t had time to pre-write. My goal is to have a new post published weekly—and maybe a vlog or two. We’re working on filming, and to be quite honest, it’s taking far longer than anticipated. I’d also like to get some recipes, food reviews, and gaming clips up. I might do them in a live stream format. Let me know what you think. We may start with fall-themed fare, since it is nearly here. Awhile back I found the most amazing pumpkin punch bowl/cup set for $10 at the thrift store, and want to make it the centerpiece for fall-themed media.

I have always prided myself on being authentic and transparent. Things have been very difficult, in a number of ways, over the past months. Money aside, there have been far more close deaths within the past few weeks than normal. By that, I mean that 1-4 is typical over the course of a calendar year (that just happens to be how it is), but four over a couple of days is unheard of here. I’ve also been drawing a creative blank and have wanted to try out some new ideas but have been met with a lot of resistance. What’s the worst that can happen by trying? Please note that these are my opinions only: (1) Content gets stolen (there are ways to mitigate that), (2) It doesn’t pan out, and/or (3) Time is wasted. But I would rather try and grow from a life lesson than not try and never know. Life is far too short for that. It’s time for me to stop being afraid, waiting for others, and letting others stand in the way. Sometimes, people have great intentions in the form of voiced concerns, but the place they come from makes them unable to understand anything outside of the norm. That’s about it for now.
