I realize that we’re about half-way through the month. Things have been busy here. Full-time work, plus full-time carer doesn’t leave much time for room. Even the weekends are busy. Since we live with others who are not considerate when it comes to timing, certain things (i.e. laundry) cannot be done in my free time. My day starts at 6am and goes until about 1am the next day. Unfortunately, I have neglected this blog, and appreciate those of you who are still here.
I’ve been thinking a lot about how machines have helped to make time for everything else, when we have access. For instance, running dishes through the dishwasher frees up time that would have been spent hand washing. The same goes for washing machines and dryers. I can load the dishwasher and washing machine, have them run, and that opens up time for vacuuming, getting food started, etc. Are they the most eco-friendly? No, but they are getting better. Okay, little blip on household appliances is done for now.
Yes, I still plan on discussing the Blizzard fiasco, which seems to be on a continuous downward spiral. I’m working on it. It’ll be a long read, if you care to check it out. Next, I want to apologize for the lack of presence here. With everything going on I feel like I’ve been in a content rut–plus, there is hardly any time. We are editing some work that will be posted (I hope) within the next week. It’s been a long time coming.
With fall just a few weeks away, I’ve been thinking about recipes that I want to share. I haven’t done much of that on here because (1) food blogs are everywhere, and (2) taste is subjective. Just because I like something a certain way doesn’t meant that you will. That being said, there are a few recipes that I will post, sans quantities, that you can tailor to your liking. What are you looking forward to the most this fall?
Thank you for being amazing! This was a hodgepodge of topics. In the upcoming weeks we will have taste-testing, grocery purchases, at least one big(ger) announcement, and more.
Peace & Love, always!
