Valentine’s Day 2021 ๐Ÿ’

As with everything else since this time last year, Valentine’s Day is looking a bit different. Thus far, the weekend has been promising: Gaming, movies, and (sorta fancy) dinner tomorrow. I kicked off Valentine’s Day weekend by participating in the 2021 Love is in the Air event (now through 02/22/2021) on WoW. If you have read the posts and are looking for Lovely Charms at level 60, kill the mobs in the Shadowlands and in Torghast. The drop rate isn’t nearly what it used to be (last year I obtained several hundred from running Eye of Azshara), but every charm adds up.

Next up was My Bloody Valentine (1981) for my best friend’s birthday, which we just finished. We were able to watch via Amazon as a party, which was a really cool feature. The only thing is that you have to be an Amazon Prime member to join in. As far as the movie goes, I love how campy ’80s horror is. This one was no exception. I also like that they killed off the characters I didn’t like, which rarely happens. My Bloody Valentine (1981) followed the same plot as other horror films of the time, complete with young people “doing things they shouldn’t” and paying an ultimate price for it. Then there is the obligatory slow chase: Killer walks ominously and with intent towards the victims while said victims run and still get caught. There is something quite satisfying about watching them, although I can’t pinpoint what it is.

Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day. Thus far, our plans only involve dinner in. My guess is that there will also be time spent saving The World…of Warcraft (bonus points if you know where that comes from). It’s still not safe enough to dine out, and we’d rather save some money by making food instead of ordering takeaways. “What’s on the menu?” you ask. Steak, salad, and a dessert. I was thinking of making the dessert, but it’ll depend on what the store has in stock. I’ve noticed that food supplies are starting to dwindle again, so here’s hoping they’ve gotten shipments. I’ll have pictures of the dinner posted to Instagram in case you’re curious.

I’ll also be working on a podcast that will hopefully be up sometime next week. And speaking of, I would like your help! Let me know what topic(s) you would like to see…err, hear…in the future. We are also working on a taste-test video that we’re hoping to have uploaded soon after the podcast. What are your plans for the rest of the weekend? If you need it, make sure you carve out some time for yourself. You need to take care of you. Regardless of how you will spend the day, I hope you enjoy and stay safe.

Peace & Love, always!
