BlizzCon 2020 has been Cancelled & other Ramblings

Hey all! How are you? I hope you are doing well. To be honest, I haven’t updated in awhile because (1) I was working on the defense for my dissertation (and passed; yay!), and (2) The motivation just wasn’t there. Due to that, everything went quiet.

So, we figured the announcement was coming. BlizzCon 2020 has been cancelled. If you would like to read the official post, click here. Were we prepared? Yes. Does being prepared mean we are less disappointed? No. That being said, the cancellation makes sense. It’s a shame we won’t be seeing anyone, but health and safety come first.

While cleaning up and working on the remodel, I’ve been watching some living history interviews. It’s so interesting, the things we complain about. Life could always be more difficult than it is, at least from what I’m seeing. My grandparents lived in houses with dirt floors and no modern conveniences. Many of us are so lucky. When I talk about life, it’s not just about the environment. It goes beyond that to your possessions, things we all take for granted, what and how we tolerate, etc. Living history, and portrayals of people in all positions, are so important for stories to be told and not forgotten–and hopefully the actor does that person (they are portraying) justice in telling their truth. I guess that’s all for now. This post is a bit of a hodge-podge, but that’s my brain right now.

Peace & Love, always!
