I have been using dropps detergent pods for the past few days while I catch up on laundry (check out the referral link at the bottom if you like *not an affiliate link*). I was given a code for a free trial pack, which included shipping. I added the bag because it’s supposed to ensure that the detergent is dissolved all the way in cold water by keeping the pod submerged. We only use cold water for our clothes to help with their lifespan. Anyway, my order total was about $3.00.
So far dropps been wonderful. They dissolve completely and there are no odors left in our clothes. My fiancé hates unscented detergent, but is on board with dropps. Lately my skin has been reacting to commercial detergents. We used to use Tide Pods because they’re convenient and the scent was nice. The dropps are just as effective, and so far my skin has been happy. Dropps are relatively package-free (sent loose in a cardboard box).
Along with the dropps detergent, I use mesh bags for anything that is in need of being hand washed or is too small and can catch where the gasket is (i.e. reusable face rounds). After putting the laundry and detergent pod in the wash, I toss the wool balls in the dryer so it’s ready to go. We’ve found that using them saves about 15 minutes of drying time (on low). The dryer balls also saves us from buying fabric softener. If you have any questions about dropps, click here. We only tried the unscented detergent pods, but have heard great things about the scent boosters. I’m not sure how well the pods would travel in extreme weather or humid areas since they’re packaged loose in a cardboard box.

I bought dryer balls on Amazon. They come in a variety of sizes, quantities, and colors. You can add essential oils to them. If you have pets, be sure to check with your veterinarian to see which are pet safe.
Looking for reusable face rounds that won’t stiffen over time? Facekins are the best, and Connie wonderful. She and her friend hand-sew each one. She also makes fabric toys for kids and nursing pads.
